Communication (media) planning is about getting into the hearts and minds of Australian consumers and persuading them to take action and purchase your product. An Australian car manufacturer is launching its first "green" car. The environment and being "climate clever" are vital issues for Australian families and we need a communications/media strategy for them to purchase a fuel-efficient hybrid motor vehicle.
Some background :
family and kids are critical
the price of the new green car is $35 -$40,000 (Ave purchase price for a new car is $25-29,000 )
the car's design is sleek and definitely unique (name to be decided)
the client has a very ambitious target and wants to sell 1,000 cars in the first 12 months (manufacturers sold 3,174 hybrid cars in 2006 in Australia)
average purchase cycle is around 5 year's ( was 7 years ),this is a considered purchase
