Overview:

We are currently looking for a Connections Planning Manager.  In this role, you will be shaping the approach to media for one of the worlds biggest retail homewares brands, making the connection between brand and demand, and becoming a truly integrated partner to the client.

As a Connections Planning Manager, you’ll work closely with both strategy and investment teams to build and see through campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels that drive results – while also bringing forward innovation and impact along the way. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to quickly adapt and respond to new business challenges.  Our client views us as trusted partner to their business, and this job plays a key role in driving their media and marketing into the future.

Reporting of the role
This role reports to the Client Leader – Connections Planning

What your next 12 months could look like…

In three months: 

  • You’ll be fully immersed in the client’s business and applying past learnings to current campaigns
  • become the go-to person for the Head of Media on day-to-day questions, as well as to the wider agency client team
  • worked closely with the Client Lead to identify areas for improvement and growth across internal and client teams

In six months:

  • You’ll be leading connections planning process across the major quarterly campaign(s), including delivery of approved plans
  • Begun delivering thought leadership to client teams, whether around specific media trends, marketplace updates, innovation or category news

 In 12 months:

  • You’ll have established an ongoing process for campaign development and optimisations
  • Become an integrated partner of the client

 Responsibilities of the role:

  • Day-to-day client relationship management with Head of Media, Media Executive and marketing teams
  • Close partnership with Strategy and Investment teams
  • Ideation in channel – bringing the strategy to life
  • Producing connections plans across paid, owned, and earned media touchpoints
  • Leading the campaign planning process
  • Ability to provide a clear and informed POV on media
  • Providing support to internal agency team
  • Management of key associated processes and functions

What you will need:

Strong background in channel planning, with experience in both branding and acquisition campaigns a plus

  • Initiative and ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • The ability to collaborate within a multi-functional team and work to a common goal
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Desire to think with creativity and deliver unexpected recommendations

  • Qualifications in marketing or relevant practical experience
