The role

As part of the HX Planning and Activation team, the Account Manager is responsible for planning, client service, and managing & developing the Account Executive and Coordinator. The Account Manager project manages all relevant craft specialists in the creation of client work and supports collaboration across the agency to ensure strong client relationships on a day to day basis. As a valued member of the team, the Account Manager is responsible for driving and enhancing our agency's
culture of Never Standing Still.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, curious and well-rounded Account Manager to join the team at Starcom – working across two dynamic clients; a challenger brand in the fast-paced world of supermarkets who activate across all channels giving an Account manager a chance to hone their holistic planning skills. As well as a pharmaceutical brand who are on a journey with their data products and looking for trailblazers to lead them in this space.

What you will do with us

  • Supports client leads to deliver innovative and creative solutions to client briefs and lead the day to day client and campaign management
  • Uses good knowledge of products and services to drive business value for clients and Starcom
  • Executes solutions through the communications planning process
  • Collaborates with the HX Partnership to deliver implementation planning excellence
  • Project manages client plans to ensure accuracy and budget
  • Builds strong client relationship as a trusted member of the agency village
  • Oversee the financial management including invoicing and payments process in line with contractual terms agreed
  • Provides accurate plan details and updates to clients
  • Champions operational excellence across all campaign and project delivery
  • Sets example to team to keep abreast of current and future industry thinking and trends
  • Manages the team including focusing on providing opportunities for them to deliver on individual personal growth plans
  • Manages the overall delivery of campaign across all craft disciplines
  • Presents regularly both internally and to clients
  • Overseas output from the team, providing quality control on any documents produced
  • Understands the trading implications of planning decisions made to ensure Starcom and client objectives are delivered
  • Understands and ensures that each team member fully understands and can deliver against client key performance indicators/targets•
  • Supports the Client Lead to ensure client and agency priorities are filtered through to the team

What you will bring

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good all round client knowledge including category and brand
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • People management experience
  • Awareness of latest market developments and trends
  • Competent using Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Expertise across industry planning tools to deliver optimum plans for client KPIs/target
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of financial management tool e.g., SpectraMD 
  • Strong working knowledge of the media marketplace and new opportunities
  • Attention to detail that is second to none
  • Able to provide solutions and think outside of the box
  • A collaborative team member who thrives in working with others
  • A true professional with strong time management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Strong organisation skills with a love for being one step ahead
  • Has a curious nature with a willingness for continuous learning and fearless growth
